The products we can help you with are the SMLC Controller, the Orion Controller and the GEN3 Controller. We also can help you with all of the Servo Drives we have supplied in the past. We can help you with the software used in each of these systems. Call our service department for assistance.
ISO 9001:2000 Certified
ISO 9001:2000 is an international standard that defines requirements for an organization’s Quality Management System (QMS), and demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements, as well as enhancing customer satisfaction. It is part of a family of standards published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) often referred to collectively as the ISO 9000 series. ORMEC has been certified for several years and re-certified annually.
Motion Control Solutions
ORMEC strives to provide motion control solutions that meet our customer's needs. This starts at the design level where all our product designs are verified by thorough internal review as well as demanding electrical and environmental testing. Software quality is equally important and we achieve it through a rigorous process that includes careful specification and meticulous implementation as well as thorough review and testing. Product software releases are carefully controlled using CASE tools and a great deal of effort is spent in assuring compatibility as well as quality. Our strong Customer Support Engineering group also performs a valuable role in this process, assisting you in the application and service of our products.
Quality Control
Every product we sell is both functionally and environmentally stress-tested. In addition, all motion controllers sold with servo drives and motors are fully configured and functionally tested as a working system in the final work-cell of our Manufacturing department.
Two Year Warranty
Our commitment to quality is backed by a two year warranty on SMLC motion controllers which covers all parts and labor. It even covers the cost of shipping a replacement or repaired item to any location in the continental U.S.A. by second day air. If you can’t wait the few days it takes for an item to be repaired, we will ship warranty replacements for most standard catalog items the same day at no extra charge.
Systems Engineering
In addition to our Applications Engineering staff, ORMEC has a Systems Engineering department which can provide you with complete motion control solutions for your equipment. This group provides integration support ranging from configuration of standard application software packages to designing and programming complex multi-axis motion control systems. They can completely manage the integration of your motion control system from specification to system start-up and test.
Documentation
ORMEC provides Installation and Operation Manuals with each shipment which have been carefully designed with the first-time user in mind. CAD generated custom documentation is provided with all systems orders.
Service Hotline
ORMEC’s telephone support provides immediate technician or engineering assistance for customers with product or system questions. In North America, telephone support is available 24 hours a day to provide the help you need in emergency situations.
Repair Service
If you ever need to have an ORMEC product repaired, we provide full repair services for all our products. We will tell you the price of the repair for most of our standard catalog products up front ... no delays to obtain estimates. If you need a repair fast, just call us with an order before noon and a refurbished replacement for most standard catalog products can be on its way to you the same day.
Custom Service Programs
For customers with special service and/or maintenance requirements ORMEC can provide a custom service program tailored to your needs. Typical programs include 24-hour access to service personnel, extended warranty periods, "Same-Day" ship programs and foreign language support.
