All H-Series Motors set to Legacy Status
July 31, 2017 – Rochester, New York, USA – ORMEC is changing to Legacy Status all H-Series Motors.
First introduced in 2004, the H-Series are used on a broad range of applications and are available with the XD-Series Indexer and all ServoWire based Servo Drives with SMLC or ORION interface.
Legacy status implies that new applications and systems should transition as soon as possible to avoid possibility of increased lead time and costs. Items with Legacy Status are still available new, but predominantly used for after-market and maintenance support. New feature developments also cease in favor of the replacement product.
ORMEC will soon be announcing the release of the latest model of N-Series Motors MAC-NExyz, rounding out all motor models for ease of transition in form, fit and function from H-Series Motors to N-Series motors. Customers are encouraged to transition to the N-Series motors, for new and existing repeat applications
Effective October 1, 2017, there will be an increase in price for the H-Series motors. Orders received prior to October 1, 2017 with requested delivery by December 29, 2017 will not be subjected to the price increase. Orders received after October 1, 2017 or orders received prior to October 1, 2017 with a requested delivery beyond December 29, 2017 will receive the increase.
